Trina Solar Information

Trina Solar - based in China

Founded in 1997 as a system installation company, Trina Solar started solar module production in 2004 and established a monocrystalline silicon ingot facility in 2005. The company achieved an output of 28Mw by the end of 2006, 600Mw in 2009, and 1Gw in 2010.

In 2010, Trina Solar became an official sponsor of the Renault Formula 1 racing team (now known as Lotus).



The company now has regional headquarters in Switzerland, US, Japan and China, as well as offices in Madrid, Munich, Milan, San Jose, Seoul, Tokyo and Shanghai.
