Isofoton Information

Isofoton - based in Spain

Established in 1981, Isofoton is amongst the worlds largest solar manufacturers.

Isofoton has also worked towards solving power problems in 3rd world countrys - a significant proportion of their production going to Africa and South America. They are also researching the specific use of solar power to produce clean water via reverse osmosis systems.

Other research is aimed towards the production of thinner silicon crystal cells, solar concentration, and hydrogen production.

With a main production plant in southern Spain having an output of 230Mw, Isofoton opened a further production facility in Ohio, USA in 2012 with a capacity of 50Mw, expandable to 300Mw.
