24/10/09 Largest PV Panel Power Plant in USA Comes Online

Largest PV panel power plant to date is due to come online this week in Florida.

The plant, located approximately 80 miles south easst of Tampa uses over 90,000 panels and is capable of generating 25 Megawatts (enough to power around 3,000 homes). The building work commenced in late October 2008 and has been completed on time, at cost of approximatly 150 million dollars.
