Sanyo - based in Japan
Having been founded in 1947, the giant Japanese electronics company, Sanyo, first became involved with developing solar cells in 1975, producing the worlds first commercial amorhous silicon cells in 1980.
Sanyo have a large presence in Japan, Europe, the United States, and the rest of the world, in some cases manufacturing specifiec products for specific areas.
The company's solar panels use Heterojunction with Intrinsic Thin Layer technology (HIT) which they have developed.
Certifications include UL, IEC, and JIS.
Photovoltaicd Modules - A range of solar panels using cells combining monocrystalline silicon together with layers of amorphous silicon. These cells/modules are claimed to suffer less from the effect of higher temperatures on output.
A range of solar panels with outputs upto 250watts and an efficiency of 18%
